Google are known for their forward thinking approach to technology. From Google Glass to their new venture Project Loon, they are continuing to find ways to make our lives easier, better or simply more entertaining.
And this week has been no exception with the announcment of two exciting new gadgets…
It’s like learning to ride a bike
In the lead up to the development of the first driverless car, Google Netherlands announced last night the release of their innovative self-driving bicycle.
Google said: “The Dutch cycle more than any other nation in the world, almost 900 kilometres per year per person, amounting to over 15 billion kilometres annually. The self-driving bicycle enables safe navigation through the city for Amsterdam residents, and furthers Google’s ambition to improve urban mobility with technology.”
Paper or plastic?
The second announcement also came last night. After the recent success over the last few months of Google Cardboard they have now released a new ‘real-time’ product called Google Cardboard Plastic. Designed to make your real life seem more real than ever!
Described by Google as being ‘More than virtual reality’, this device that lets you see things the way you truly see them and experience the world your way. In their announcement they said: “Google Cardboard Plastic combines everything you love about virtual reality headsets with everything you love about reality.”
